Race 8 rained out, Race 9 completed July 22 at Beaver Springs
NETO race 8 scheduled July 21 at Beaver Springs Dragway was rained out after one time trial. Race 9 scheduled for July 22 at Beaver Springs looked in jeopardy as dark clouds covered the sky. But even if the sun did not shine, good fortune shined on us as we got the race completed. This was the 15th annual York Nostalgia Nationals, and attendance definitely took a hit due to the weather. But new track owner Mike McCracken persevered and put on a great show. Twenty three racers competed in the race sponsored by Bob LaRegina’s Valley Chassis Works of Poughkeepsie NY. Vinny Laurita presented the trophies. In a bit of Karma, all four cars in the finals were Valley Chassis Works cars.
