COMP ELIMINATOR
Comp eliminator was won by current Comp champion Lou Laferrara Jr. This was Lou’s fourth win of the year and he did this with only high gear in his tranny and foot braking. Vinny Laurita Jr was runner up in the Team Laurita camaro for the second day in a row, but not without much drama. After his first round win, one of his slicks went flat. When attempting to patch the tube they found the tube was torn and could not be repaired. All looked lost until competitor Jerrry Deslandes offered his slicks to Team Laurita. The thrash then began for Team Laurita, Jerry Deslandes and several fellow racers to get the slicks swapped. It was good fortune it happened after round one, as there would probably not have been enough time to do the swap later in the day. As it was, they got it done just as the call to the lanes happened. What could have been disaster ended up in a runner up, with a display of great sportsmanship which is par for the course for this club.
Lou Laferrara Jr took the win with a 7.996 on a 8.10 index after Vinny Laurita Jr set the red light on before running 9.439 on a 9.10 index.
